Race day, at a glance
- Sunday, November 22, 2026 — line up 9:45 AM, gun at 10:00 AM
- Prairie Ridge High School, 6000 Dvorak Drive, Crystal Lake
- Chip-timed 5K. The course starts and finishes on PR property and runs through the adjacent neighborhood.
- Packet pickup: Friday Nov 20, 3–7 PM at the stadium ticket building, or race morning 8:50–9:50 AM in the cafeteria
- Awards: top 3 male & female in nine age groups, 9 & under through 70 & over
- $40 general · $35 students & kids 18 and under — prices go up after October 26
🦃 Pass the Poult
A poult is a baby turkey — and ours runs the course. Somewhere in the pack is the Poult, our pace-runner in full turkey regalia. Finish ahead of the Poult and you win an extra prize on top of anything your age group brings home. Run as one, hunt the turkey.
The course
Start and finish on Prairie Ridge property with a loop through the neighborhood next door. Chip-timed; as an inaugural race the course isn't certified — the turkey doesn't mind and neither should you.

Volunteer for race day
It takes about thirty people to put on a race — course marshals, water station, packet pickup, setup, finish line. Two hours of your morning, a front-row seat, and every runner thanks you personally. Tell us where you'd like to help:
